There is no denying the success of the recently concluded "Love in the Moonlight" having been praised by critics and audiences alike. From the acting, to the directing and even the music, the TV series received critical acclaim and had even achieved an extraordinary feat by passing the 20% mark which only three other weekday primetime shows has accomplished this 2016. Concidentally or not, Love in the Moonlight was also led by the same people who worked on "The Descendants of the Sun" mainly director Baek Sang-hoon, music director Gaemi and cinematographer Kim Si-hyeong. It is worth mentioning that The Descendants of the Sun and Love in the Moonlight are probably one of the, if not the most, popular dramas of 2016. However, Love in the Moonlight may have been well received by both audiences and critics, the series also had its own fair share of controversies specifically revolving around the character played by young actress Kim Yoo Jung. There were some scenes that people thought to be too "inappropriate." In fact, the show itself had come under review by the Korea Communications Standard Commission after they had received complaints from several viewers about the so-called inappropriate scenes. In a report published by Soompi, several viewers complained about a scene in the first episode of the series where Hong Ra On played by Kim Yoo Jung was shown bandaging her chest in order to pass as a boy. The problem wasn't the cross-dressing but how the viewers deemed the scene as overly revealing considering that Kim Yoo Jung is only 16 which means that she is a minor. Then there is also the scene where Kim Yoo Jung's character shares a kiss with the male protagonist who was played by the 23-yeard Park Bo Gum. According to the KCSC, "when kissing and the revealing of skin is involved, it is wrong to cast a minor." What the KCSC is trying to point out is that minors shouldn't portray characters who have 'strictly adults only' scenes. Luckily, there weren't any disciplinary actions involved since the show had already ended anyway. Instead, the KCSC said that they will send the KBS network recommendations for adult-type scenes. Kim Yoo Jung recently spoke with News1 as reported by Allkpop. During the interview, the 16-year old actress shared her thoughts about the issue surrounding here kissing scenes as well as her age. "When the kiss scene was being filmed, it wasn't my age I was worried about but the viewers' reactions. I started acting as a child and a lot of elderly people probably treat me like a granddaughter that is why I was a bit curious as to how they'll see the scene." The actress said. But she also said that it wasn't the kissing scene itself that had her most worried. What really had her worried were the costumes they were wearing during the kissing scene. "Instead of me being young, I was more worried about the fact that we both had Sangtu men's normal hairstyle during that particular era when we had done the kiss scene. However, the kiss scene turned out really good though. I mean a kiss shared by a girl and a prince is already pretty but it's the Sangtu that had me bothered. Fortunately, the scene came out youthful and good overall." Youthful and good are the exact words you can use to describe Love in the Moonlight. If you haven't watched the hit series yet, then you're definitely missing out. Meanwhile, Kim Yoo Jung is set to appear

KimYoo Jung dedicated two months to practicing her beautiful traditional dance in Love in the Moonlight.. KBS's beloved series, Love in the Moonlight, was a drama series that followed the crown prince Lee Young (played by Park Bo Gum) as he fell in love with Hong Ra On (played by Kim Yoo Jung), a woman who dressed up like a man and counseled men on relationships.

SBS’s “Lovers of the Red Sky” released a new behind-the-scenes video of the actors hard at work! The clip begins with Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop shooting an important scene where his character Ha Ram tells her character Hong Chun Gi the truth about the ring he gave her. During break, they attempt to cool down with ice bags and fans. It must be really hot because neither speak as they try to chase away the summer heat. The crew members start fanning them with panels, and Ahn Hyo Seop comments, “The wind is blowing.” Kim Yoo Jung glances between the two staff members and jokes, “You two are fanning each other, right?” Next, Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Gong Myung work together for the scene where Gong Myung’s character Prince Yangmyeong stabs Ha Ram to rescue Hong Chun Gi. The three review their positions with the director. When Gong Myung pretends to stab Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Yoo Jung jokingly cries out, and Gong Myung pretends to be in pain as well. They can’t stop laughing at the hilarious moment, and eventually, Ahn Hyo Seop joins in to yell with them. During break, Kim Yoo Jung and Gong Myung can’t stop reenacting that scene. The two monitor the scene with big smiles, and Ahn Hyo Seop comments in surprise, “You really ran while holding the peach!” The end of the video features the main cast’s concluding remarks. As the drama was pre-produced, Kwak Si Yang shares, “Since we endured filming together in the cold and hot weather, I believe it would be great for everyone to look forward to it.” Gong Myung continues, “I had my last shoot today in this sweltering heat with our staff members and my fellow actors, and while I’m relieved, it also feels bittersweet and sad. I am so thankful to our staff and my fellow actors, who all filmed together since last winter when it was cold through the hot weather [of nows]. I’m so happy that I was able to show another side of actor Gong Myung through Lovers of the Red Sky.'” Kim Yoo Jung comments, “It’s been a long journey. Although there were hard and exhausting moments for the staff members, actors, and everyone who worked with us, I think we were able to wrap up successfully because everyone mustered up their passion. More than anything, I hope the final product is good, and I’d be thankful if viewers gave us lots of love.” Ahn Hyo Seop shares, “I don’t know how to describe how I feel right now. I feel proud, regretful, and happy, but I’m also sad thinking that we are now parting ways. They’re complicated, unclear emotions. This is a project that all the staff members and actors worked hard to film, through difficult situations, from the cold winter to the hot weather.” Watch the full behind-the-scenes video below!
